Accessibility Statement
Last updated July 17, 2026.
Our commitment
BrainBytes Academy wants every family to be able to use this site and our parent portal, regardless of ability. We're working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our standard.
What we've done
- Meaningful alt text on photos and functional images, not filenames or "image" placeholders
- Form fields are labeled and announce validation errors to screen readers
- Dialogs and popups are marked up so assistive technology knows when one has opened
- Icon-only buttons (like the mobile menu) have a text label for screen readers
- Keyboard focus is visible on interactive elements
Ongoing work
This is an active effort, not a finished checklist — we haven't yet completed a full independent audit (keyboard-only navigation, screen reader testing, and color contrast across every page), and we treat accessibility issues as bugs to fix, not as a one-time project.
Let us know
If you run into anything on this site or the parent portal that's hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, or any other assistive technology, tell us — we want to fix it. Contact us at privacy@brainbytesacademy.com or (973) 400-2646, and we'll respond within a few business days.
